Submit a New Support Ticket

Tips for Submitting Support Requests

WebsiteSteward wants to provide WordPress help for you as quickly as possible, but we receive lots of new requests every day. You can expedite turnaround time by following a few simple tips.

Please open each of the items below to learn more about how to submit a well-written support request.

1. Use a simple title

Use a short but descriptive request title helps us quickly identify the nature of a request, and assign it as fast as possible. For example, rather than saying, “Update a page on my website,” instead, use a title like, “Requesting a content update on our “About” page.”

2. Be very specific

A request will take longer to solve if we aren’t sure what you’re asking us to do and need to decipher your request. For example, rather than writing a paragraph summarizing the backstory of a particular issue in detail, use the simple format illustrated in the examples below.

Example: A well-written support request

I am requesting 2 content updates on our “About” page here: https://www.mysite.com/about/

Please update the About page on my website with the new copy/text below.
1. Replace the word “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” with “neat”

2. Add the text below to the bottom of the About page:
Text: “It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.”

Thank you! -Awesome Client

Example: A not-so-good support request

I was on my website the other day and noticed it needed updating! I haven’t had the time to get in there and do much these last few weeks with my daughter visiting over the holiday with her husband. Anyway, there is some text on the main page that I’d like to have you look at and change out. I’m not sure what I want put in there but something less wordy or easier to read. Let me know what you think. -Client
